COMENIUS SPRING MINI-BEASTS

A craft-exchange (mini-beasts) among all partner-schools took place during our meeting in Paks (Hungary). Denmark brought bees and spiders; Croatia, snails and little insects; Slovenia, wasps and ladybirds to play tic-tac-toe; Greece, butterflies; Germany, wasps, bees and ladybirds; Hungary, cute cloth dolls; Spain, hidden caterpillars and Ireland, butterflies and caterpillars.

NEXT COMENIUS MEETING: PAKS - HUNGARY

Our last but one meeting will take place in the city of Paks (Hungary) from the 15th to the 17th April. We will get together to organize the last steps of our project and to visit the Hungarian partners' kindergartens, who have prepared for us a wonderful programme. 

We are also going to exchange crafts that the children of our project's schools have made on the topic "mini-beasts". There will be soon an exhibition about Spring in each school with all the crafts when we come back.

ACTIVE CITIZENS

Becoming an active citizen is not an easy task! Our European children have been working in a Comenius activity in each school where they have been analysing, designing and planning how their school environment could be changed in order to facilitate regular exercise and a healthier way of life. Some schools have been addressing the surroundings of the school and others the school playgrounds. The children have taken an "active" part as European citizens asking their local authorities to help in the achievement of their initiatives.

We will publish soon a summarize about all the works that have been going on in each school of our European Project.

MEETING IN KAISERSWERTHER DIAKONIE PREPRIMARY SCHOOL - DÜSSELDORF (GERMANY)

Our COMENIUS teachers are going to take part in the 6th project meeting from the 26th to the 28th of November. This time the hosting school is in the city of Düsseldorf, Germany, where our partners have organized a very interesting programme to get to know the German educational system and culture. As you can see... Düsseldorf is full of Christmas magic! Have a wonderful meeting!!! 

 

LET'S GO CAR-FREE!!! - SEPTEMBER 2014

All the partner-schools have organized a car-free day, weekend or even week, in which children and families participated. We all made posters to advertize the event and children took pictures about how they collaborated in this Comenius activity. Have a look at the contributions from all schools:

5th COMENIUS MEETING IN RINCÓN DE LA VICTORIA - MÁLAGA (SPAIN)

Once more a Comenius meeting is just round the corner. We are going to meet again from the 4th till the 6th of June in sunny Málaga. Apart from different school and cultural activities prepared by the hosting school in Rincón de la Victoria, there might be even a chance to relax on the beach, and enjoy the nice weather while we work on evaluating the first year of our project and organize the beginning of the next school year.

¡NOS VEMOS EN MÁLAGA!

EUROPE DAY

We decided to celebrate Europe Day, as a symbol of peace and unity, in all the schools of our project with the same-programmed activities:

- We all sang our COMENIUS ANTHEM and watched the beautiful Opening Ceremony video made by our Greek School.

- We played an "active gymkhana", which had a number of questions and tasks (proposed by all the schools) in order to collect the letters of "ACTIVE EUROPEANS"

- We prepared HEALTHY SNACKS with recipes from all the countries participating in our project.

- Some of our partners had the chance to communicate through Skype and chatted during the celebration.

It was a wonderful day for all our schools and we learned a lot about each other!

Before the day is over, we would like to congratulate and thank the Greek children and their teachers for making a very funny and interesting video in which they mimed curious facts about each country so that the others could guess who was who! GREAT JOB!!!
