MEETING IN KAISERSWERTHER DIAKONIE PREPRIMARY SCHOOL - DÜSSELDORF (GERMANY)

Our COMENIUS teachers are going to take part in the 6th project meeting from the 26th to the 28th of November. This time the hosting school is in the city of Düsseldorf, Germany, where our partners have organized a very interesting programme to get to know the German educational system and culture. As you can see... Düsseldorf is full of Christmas magic! Have a wonderful meeting!!! 

 

LET'S GO CAR-FREE!!! - SEPTEMBER 2014

All the partner-schools have organized a car-free day, weekend or even week, in which children and families participated. We all made posters to advertize the event and children took pictures about how they collaborated in this Comenius activity. Have a look at the contributions from all schools:

5th COMENIUS MEETING IN RINCÓN DE LA VICTORIA - MÁLAGA (SPAIN)

Once more a Comenius meeting is just round the corner. We are going to meet again from the 4th till the 6th of June in sunny Málaga. Apart from different school and cultural activities prepared by the hosting school in Rincón de la Victoria, there might be even a chance to relax on the beach, and enjoy the nice weather while we work on evaluating the first year of our project and organize the beginning of the next school year.

EUROPE DAY

We decided to celebrate Europe Day, as a symbol of peace and unity, in all the schools of our project with the same-programmed activities:

- We all sang our COMENIUS ANTHEM and watched the beautiful Opening Ceremony video made by our Greek School.

- We played an "active gymkhana", which had a number of questions and tasks (proposed by all the schools) in order to collect the letters of "ACTIVE EUROPEANS"

- We prepared HEALTHY SNACKS with recipes from all the countries participating in our project.

- Some of our partners had the chance to communicate through Skype and chatted during the celebration.

It was a wonderful day for all our schools and we learned a lot about each other!

Before the day is over, we would like to congratulate and thank the Greek children and their teachers for making a very funny and interesting video in which they mimed curious facts about each country so that the others could guess who was who! GREAT JOB!!!

OUR COMENIUS "ACTIVE" ANTHEM

This is the anthem we have all together written for our project. It can be sung along with the "Are you sleeping?" nursery rhyme tune. We just decided to change the words to liven it up. Each school created a verse that can be danced miming the words. Here it goes:

1ST EDITION OF OUR "ACTIVE IN EUROPE" MAGAZINE

We have created an "active" magazine, where all schools publish articles about how pupils and the school community is involved in an active and healthy life.

3rd COMENIUS MEETING IN KOLDING (DENMARK)

Next week, 26th-29th March, Comenius friends will meet again and this time it will be in the partner-school from Kolding (Denmark). Apart from our project meeting, we will visit Friskole and enjoy Danish hospitality. Twelve children from the Spanish partner-school in Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga-Spain) are going to travel with their teachers to meet  pupils from Friskole and experience 

Danish school life.

We are all very much

2nd COMENIUS MEETING IN ST. JOHNSTON (IRELAND)

From the 28th to the 30th January we are going to meet again all together in St. Johnston - County Donegal (Ireland). There will be plenty of activities that the hosting school has prepared for the partner-schools. We will hold our regular project meeting, exchange countries flags and will have the opportunity of experiencing the Irish educational system.

AND THE WINNER IS...

All the children of our Comenius project voted for a logo among the ones proposed by each school...

... AND THE WINNER OF OUR COMPETITION IS... THE DANISH LOGO!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS!!! It was very difficult indeed to choose among the beautiful entries!!!

OUR COMENIUS LOGO COMPETITION

We have organized among the partner-schools a "Comenius Project Logo Competition". Each school has proposed a logo entry, made and designed by the children, and next week we are going to vote for the one that will represent our project during these two years working together.
